Since 1887, generations of professionals have used John Boos Butcher Blocks, from butcher shops and meat markets to restaurants, commercial, government and educational facilities, and even the White House. Demand for the famous Boos Butcher Block made of end grain wood has been so great that a new collection has been designed for the finest residential kitchens. The Homestead Block, made from glued face logs of solid American hardwood for superior strength and durability, embodies this new design with the same level of unparalleled quality and craftsmanship as the original Butcher Block. It has the mass of a fortress while maintaining the beauty and character of a fine piece of furniture. The 91 x 61 cm, 12.5 cm thick face wood top stands on sturdy, notched maple legs and provides premium kitchen work space. You can store dishes, pans or ingredients on the slatted bottom shelf. A drawer integrated into the tabletop also provides space for your favorite kitchen gadgets. The table top is available in a variety of woods (Hard Maple, Black Walnut and American Cherry). Since your block will attract a lot of attention, you should also choose a finish that matches your kitchen decor. The front panel, drawer and bottom shelf come in the same finish. Please take a look at the color options.
