The "AB" Block is the quintessential American Butcher Block. Like the "AA" Block, it is a piece of history and American heritage and is proudly manufactured by John Boos & Co. in Effingham, IL, USA. It consists of a 25 cm thick hard maple face block and four solid, stylishly carved legs. Each block is made to order and carefully crafted to Boos' famous headwood design from select pieces of premium kiln-dried hard maple. Boos' face wood construction is extremely solid and sturdy and resistant to scratches and scuffs. It absorbs pressure from knife blades and helps protect them and keep them sharp longer. The "AB" block combines the solidity of a sturdy classic butcher block with elegant design. In doing so, you have the option to beautify your kitchen by choosing from a variety of natural, lacquered or stained legs. Please see the color options for more information. You also have the option of adding casters to the block so you can use it wherever it is needed in the kitchen. The "AB" block is available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 46 x 46 cm to 76 x 76 cm. Your "AB Block" will last a lifetime, if not generations, if you care for it properly.
