Our Kitchen Islands and Work Tables are made with the same level of unparalleled quality and craftsmanship as the original Butcher Block, Boos® laminated end-grain blocks of solid American hardwood are superior in strength and durability. They are handcrafted masterpieces made by skilled craftsmen using the time-honored techniques of end-grain construction at the John Boos factory in Effingham, IL, USA. With over 135 years of know-how and experience in working with wood, we use only premium renewable and sustainable sources of Northern American Hard Maple, Black Walnut and Cherry hardwood in our factory.

Our Kitchen Islands and Work Tables not only offer additional work space, but also a multitude of possible features that make them true sources of productivity. The foundation is always a solid, durable worktop made from high-quality North American hardwoods (Hard Maple, Black Walnut and Cherry) in classic butcher block end-grain or edge-grain design. In addition, there are storage options thanks to shelves and drawers that are excellent for storing kitchen utensils. Towels get their own "home" with special towel racks.

For those who desire the famous Boos® end-grain quality construction and design but only the Island or Counter Top, we offer our collection of (BBIT) Butcher Block Island Tops. This end-grain Island Top collection is available in a variety of widths and thicknesses. Select the width and thickness that is right for your kitchen island (Island base not included).
This collection features durable and stunning end-grain construction, and is destined to become the center of many happy memories over a lifetime in your home. Each Island Top from this Collection is made by a skilled craftsperson in Effingham, IL using time-honored techniques that John Boos & Co. has been perfecting since 1887.
Care Tips for Your Boos® Kitchen Islands & Work Tables
Our Boos® Kitchen Islands and Work Tables are finished with a food-safe natural oil/beeswax finish. To keep them in top shape for years to come and establish it as a highlight in your kitchen, we recommend regular treatment with Boos Blocks® Mystery Oil and/or Board Cream, a complementary moisturizer with beeswax. Both products are food-safe and effective. With the proper care, your Boos® Kitchen Island and Work Table will last a lifetime, and may even become a family heirloom.
